When good men are absent from a child’s life, children often experience turmoil and instability. Based on 2021 Census Data, 1 in 4 children do not have a father or father figure in the home. The Minnesota Psychological Association reported that, “In a study of female inmates, more than half came from a father-absent home. Youths who never had a father living with them have the highest incarceration rates, while youths in father-only households display no difference in the rate of incarceration from that of children coming from two-parent households.” Children today are growing up in a culture where fatherlessness is becoming more prevalent. If we ignore this critical issue, it will only worsen and further impact society as a whole.
